Joining us for a ranch hand, horse wrangler and ranch management internship will give you the opportunity to make your contribution to business operation and teach you all the skills necessary to work in an eco-tourism business with horses, heavy machinery and ranch maintenance from entry level to management. The benefits, requirements and responsibilities are the same for all our internship programs, but here are the main responsibilities and contributions for ranch hand, horse wrangler and ranch management.

Your three main responsibilities

  • Animal care
  • Equipment and ranch maintenance
  • Improve procedures to increase sustainability and self-reliance

Your contribution

  • Use innovative thinking to improve our sustainability and self-reliance
  • Tend our garden to grow food such as rhubarb and potatoes
  • Feed and tend to horses, chickens and pigs
  • Maintain ranch property, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Fix fences, cut firewood, recycle garbage, complete inventories, move irrigation equipment
  • Help guides with chores, maintain saddles and riding equipment
  • Learn about and implement our 3 Pillar philosophy of Nature Connection, Nature Conservation and Personal Development
