TRANSFORMATIONAL Forestry and Woodlot management INTERNSHIP

Joining us for your forestry and woodlot management internship will give you the opportunity to make your contribution to business operation and teach you all the skills necessary to work in a sustainable forestry business from entry level to management. The benefits, requirements and responsibilities are the same for all our internship programs, but here are the main responsibilities and contributions for forestry and woodlot management.

Your three main responsibilities

  • Thorough working knowledge of select logging practices
  • Liaise with forestry management and government 
  • Tree identification for select logging

Your contribution

  • Identify trees for select logging

  • Plan cut blocks

  • Skid trees to landing by mechanical or horse logging

  • Buck and limb trees to specification

  • Communicate with forestry management

  • Educate yourself on government regulations

  • Learn specification to mill standards

  • Learn about and implement our 3 Pillar philosophy of Nature Connection, Nature Conservation and Personal Development
